“Lethargy, bordering on sloth, should remain the cornerstone of an investment style.”

About Bordering on Sloth
I started this website in an effort to further develop my personal investment philosophies, and to provide insights and information that others might find useful in their own pursuit of the same endeavor. Personalities, life experiences, and investment styles are interwoven. By understanding your own tendencies, biases, limitations, as well as your strengths, you can improve outcomes in your financial and personal life.
A simple way to understand me is to know that I am an enneagram 9. The core weakness of this personality type is Sloth. The title of the website relates to my desired investment style and my own personality. The enneagram has been a useful tool that I discovered during the COVID pandemic. It is not perfect. There are nuances. However, it is the first personality “test” that has actually provided a useful framework for understanding why I am who I am. I’d encourage my readers to learn about themselves to understand how their own personalities influence their money decisions.
Behavior management is the most difficult, and the most important aspect of investing and personal financial success. While I hope my readers are entertained, my real hope is that by reading this blog you will improve your own investment results, you will gain more peace of mind, and you will be happier at the same time.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”
— Proverbs 27:17
